Artur "Art" Binkowski was born on February 19, 1975. He is a boxer who was born in Poland. He moved to Canada and became a Canadian citizen. Art Binkowski is known as a heavyweight boxer. He proudly represented Canada at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.

Art Binkowski's Early Life
Art Binkowski moved to Canada from Poland when he was 13 years old. This was a big change for him. He later went to the University of Waterloo. There, he studied psychology.
His Amateur Boxing Journey
Before becoming a professional, Art Binkowski was a very successful amateur boxer. An amateur boxer does not get paid for fighting. He was the champion in Ontario for six years in the heavyweight division.
Art Binkowski competed in the 2000 Summer Olympics. He fought in the super heavyweight category. He did very well, reaching the quarterfinals. In that fight, he was defeated by Rustam Saidov from Uzbekistan.
Becoming a Professional Boxer
Art Binkowski is known by his nickname, "The Polish Warrior." He lives in Mississauga, Ontario. He started his professional boxing career on November 23, 2001. His first professional fight was in Southfield, Michigan, against Michael Moncrief from the United States. Professional boxers get paid for their fights.
In 2005, Binkowski had a fight where he lost to Patrice L'Heureux.
In April 2007, Art Binkowski fought Rafael Butler. Many people thought Butler would win this fight. Binkowski was knocked down three times in the first round. But he showed great strength and came back to win the fight. He won by a technical knockout (TKO) in the last round. A TKO happens when the referee stops the fight because one boxer cannot continue safely.
Later in October 2007, Binkowski lost to Mike Mollo. This fight ended in the second round by TKO.
On October 19, 2013, Art Binkowski fought Krzysztof Zimnoch in Poland. He was defeated in this fight.
Beyond the Boxing Ring
Art Binkowski has also been in a movie! He played a boxer named John 'Corn' Griffin. This was in the movie "Cinderella Man". The movie starred famous actor Russell Crowe.
