History of Assaria

Assaria was first planned out in 1879. That same year, the first post office opened in September. This helped people send and receive mail.

A railroad track used to run through Assaria. It went from north to south. However, the railroad was later closed down.

Geography and Location

The Assaria Trojans, which was the name of their high school sports teams, were very good at baseball. They won the Kansas State High School class B baseball championship twice, in 1959 and 1960!
