Aurora Glacier is a long river of ice located in the U.S. state of Alaska. It stretches about 4 miles (6.4 kilometers) and is found within the beautiful Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. This glacier flows towards the northwest, nestled between two other large glaciers called Reid Glacier and Brady Glacier. It's about 61 miles (98 kilometers) northwest of a town called Hoonah.

Naming the Glacier

One of their ships, the M/V Aurora, was named after this very glacier. This shows how important and well-known Aurora Glacier is in the region.
