Austin Duke started his professional journey by signing with the Carolina Panthers in 2017. He played college football for the Charlotte 49ers.

College Football Career
Austin Duke began his college football journey in 2013. He joined the Charlotte 49ers, which was the first varsity football team for UNC Charlotte since 1948.
He was a very important player for the 49ers. Austin was the team's top receiver in all four of his seasons. By the time he finished college in 2016, he held several records. He had the most receptions (253), receiving yards (3,437), and receiving touchdowns (24) in the team's history.
Playing Professional Football
After his successful college career, Austin Duke moved on to play professional football. He played for several teams in different leagues.
Carolina Panthers Experience
On May 5, 2017, Austin Duke signed with the Carolina Panthers. This team is part of the National Football League (NFL). He spent the rest of the 2017 NFL season on the Panthers' practice squad. A practice squad is where players train with the team but are not on the main roster for games.
On January 1, 2018, the Panthers signed Duke to a new contract. He took part in the Panthers' training camp that year. He played in four NFL preseason games, catching nine passes for 69 yards. However, on September 1, 2018, the Panthers released him from the team.
Time with Other Teams
After leaving the Panthers, Austin Duke continued his football career with other leagues.
In early 2019, he joined the Alliance of American Football's Atlanta Legends. He participated in their training camp. Unfortunately, he got injured and did not play in any games for the team.
Later in 2019, on May 27, he signed with the Canadian Football League (CFL)'s Toronto Argonauts. He was released by the team a short time later, on June 7, 2019.
On January 7, 2020, Duke signed with the New York Guardians of the XFL. For this team, he played as a punt returner. This means he was responsible for catching punts from the other team and running them back. The XFL league stopped playing games on April 10, 2020.
Most recently, Austin Duke signed with the Barcelona Dragons. This team plays in the European League of Football. He joined them on January 8, 2023, and was released on May 18, 2023.
