Country United Kingdom
Currently held by Sean Baker & Samantha Quan for Anora (2024)

The BAFTA Award for Best Casting is a special prize given out every year by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. This award celebrates the amazing work of people who choose actors for movies. It started in 2020.

In August 2019, BAFTA decided to create this new award. Pippa Harris, who was in charge of BAFTA, said they were happy to include the skilled work of casting directors. She explained that casting is very important for movies and TV shows. It also helps make sure different kinds of people are shown on screen. This award helps everyone understand how important casting is.

In the lists below, the movies and names in bold with a gold background are the winners. The other names are the nominees. The years shown are when the movies came out. The award ceremony happens the next year.
