The Bac de Roda Bridge, also known as the Calatrava bridge, is a special road bridge in Barcelona, Spain. It connects two important parts of the city: the Sant Andreu district and the Sant Martí district. This bridge was built between 1984 and 1987. It was designed by a famous architect named Santiago Calatrava. The bridge was an important part of getting Barcelona ready for the 1992 Summer Olympics.
The bridge helps people travel easily between the Carrer de Bac de Roda in Sant Martí and the Carrer de Felip II in Sant Andreu. It crosses over the main railway lines that lead into Barcelona from the north. If you are using the Barcelona Metro, the Bac de Roda station on line 2 is only about 100 meters south of the bridge.
