The Bangladesh women's national cricket team represents Bangladesh in international women's cricket matches. They are also known as the "Female Tigers" or "Tigresses." The team first played internationally in July 2007, winning two matches against Thailand. They also won the 2007 ACC Women's Tournament.
In 2011, Bangladesh earned "One-Day International" (ODI) status. This happened after they finished fifth in the 2011 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier. This allowed them to play in more important international games. Later, in 2014, they hosted the 2014 ICC Women's World Twenty20, which was their first big international tournament.
A major achievement for the team was winning the ACC Women's Asia Cup in 2018. This was a historic win because it was the first time any team other than India had won this tournament! Since then, the team has become one of the strongest women's cricket teams in Asia. They played in their first World Cup in 2022 and have been part of every World Twenty20 since 2014.
In April 2021, the International Cricket Council (ICC) gave permanent "Test" and "One Day International" (ODI) status to all women's teams that are full members. This was a big step for women's cricket.

Team History and Big Wins
Winning the 2018 Asia Cup
At the 2018 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup in Malaysia, the Bangladesh team played really well. They won four out of five matches to reach the final. In the final, they beat India, making history! They were the first team besides India to win the Asia Cup title. This was a huge moment for Bangladesh cricket.
First World Cup Appearance in 2022
Bangladesh made their first appearance at the 2022 Women's Cricket World Cup. They qualified because of their good ODI ranking. Even though the qualifying tournament was stopped early, Bangladesh had a strong record with two wins and one loss. At the World Cup, they finished seventh, winning one match against Pakistan. Because they qualified for the World Cup, they also earned a spot in the 2022–2025 ICC Women's Championship.
Recent Asia Cup and T20 World Cup Matches
Bangladesh hosted the 2022 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup in 2022. They finished in fifth place, winning two matches. In 2022, they also qualified for the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup by winning the qualifying tournament. At the World Cup, they were in Group A and faced tough competition, losing all four of their matches.
