Banks is a city in Washington County, Oregon, in the United States. It is located in the beautiful Tualatin Valley.

Banks is well-known as the starting point for the Banks–Vernonia State Trail. This trail is about 21 miles (34 kilometers) long. It's a popular spot for people who love to bike, hike, or ride horses.

In 2020, about 1,837 people lived in Banks. The city was named after John and Nancy Banks. They owned a dairy farm nearby many years ago. Banks officially became a city in 1921. You can find it in the western part of Washington County, where two main roads, Oregon Route 6 and Oregon Route 47, meet.
