Barbara Hicks (born August 12, 1924 – died September 6, 2013) was an English actress. She was known for her roles in movies.
She appeared in the 1985 movie Brazil, directed by Terry Gilliam. She also acted in Howards End from 1992. This movie won a Bafta award.

Barbara Hicks was born in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England. She later lived in Little Maplestead, Essex. She went to school at Adcote School in Shropshire.
She was married for forty years to Lt-Colonel Peter Taylor. He was a brave soldier who won two Military Cross medals in Italy in 1944.
Barbara Hicks also took part in a special event. It was a tribute to the famous actor Laurence Olivier. The event was called Happy Birthday, Sir Larry and happened on May 31, 1987.
Barbara Hicks had a son named Giles Taylor, who is also an actor.
