Where is Barnet?
Barnet village is in the southeastern part of Caledonia County. It sits right on the west bank of the Connecticut River. This river forms the border between Vermont and New Hampshire. Across the river to the southeast is the town of Monroe, New Hampshire.
Getting Around Barnet
Interstate 91 runs along the northwest edge of Barnet village. You can get onto I-91 from Exit 18 (West Barnet Road). If you go north on I-91, it's about 10 miles to St. Johnsbury. If you head south, it's about 50 miles to White River Junction.
U.S. Route 5 also goes through the middle of the village. It runs next to I-91. Going north on Route 5 will take you about 9 miles to St. Johnsbury. Heading south on Route 5 will lead you about 11 miles to Wells River.
