Barnyard Commandos is a cool animated TV show and toy line. It started as action figures created by toy designer James Groman in 1989. The cartoon series came out the next year, in 1990. It was a French-American show with 13 episodes.
The show features the voices of actors like S. Scott Bullock, Thom Bray, and Pat Fraley. Even though it was fun, the series didn't make enough new episodes.

The Story of Barnyard Commandos
The main idea of Barnyard Commandos is quite unique! It's about regular farm animals who accidentally ate some special, glowing materials left behind from an old army experiment. This made them change into super-smart, human-like soldiers!
These new animal soldiers formed two funny, friendly teams that fought against each other.
- The R.A.M.S. stood for "Rebel Army of Military Sheep."
- The P.O.R.K.S. stood for "Platoon of Rebel Killer Swine."
In 2020, it was announced that new Barnyard Commandos figures would be made. This was exciting news for fans!
Barnyard Commandos Action Figures
Two sets of Barnyard Commandos action figures were made. Each set had figures from both the R.A.M.S. and the P.O.R.K.S. teams. These figures were special because they were made of soft, hollow plastic, a bit like squeaky toys. They couldn't move their arms or legs much.
Each figure came with a weapon that could attach to it. The packaging also had a funny description of the character.
Kids' Meal Toys
Burger King also made special toys based on Barnyard Commandos. These were given out in their Kids' Meals.
