Barry Otto was born in 1941 in Brisbane, Australia. His father was a butcher. Barry also has a sister named Denise.
Before becoming an actor, Barry studied art. He went to the Brisbane Central Technical College. In the 1960s, he worked as a commercial artist. He also drew pictures for fashion magazines. He never went to acting school.
Acting Career
Barry Otto started acting in plays in the 1970s. He performed in amateur theatre groups. These were plays done for fun, not as a job.
