A Look Back: Bartlett's History
Bartlett was officially planned out in June 1886. It got its name from one of the people who helped start the town, Robert A. Bartlett.
The first post office in Bartlett opened its doors in September 1886. This was an important step for the new community. Bartlett was also located along the Missouri Pacific Railway, which helped connect it to other places.
