What Happened at Happrew?
A group of English knights rode south from Dunfermline. Their mission was to find and capture two important Scottish leaders. These leaders were Sir William Wallace and Sir Simon Fraser. The English group included Robert de Clifford, William de Latimer, and even Robert the Bruce. At this time, Robert the Bruce was fighting for England. The English knights were led by Sir John Segrave.
