Bear Den Creek is a small stream located in Stone County, in the beautiful Ozarks region of southwestern Missouri. Sometimes, people also call this creek Bearden Hollow.
Where is Bear Den Creek?
This creek starts its journey just south of Missouri Route 76 and west of Missouri Route Y. It then flows towards the southwest and west-southwest.
Journey to Table Rock Lake
Bear Den Creek eventually flows into the James River arm of Table Rock Lake. This spot is located east of a town called Cape Fair. Another creek, Peach Orchard Creek, runs right next to Bear Den Creek, just to its north.
How Bear Den Creek Got Its Name
The name Bear Den Creek comes from a special place along its path. There was a cave right by the creek where bears used to make their homes or "dens." This is how the creek got its unique name!
