Beech Mountain is a cool mountain located in the western part of North Carolina. It is found in a region called the High Country. This mountain is completely inside the Pisgah National Forest.
Beech Mountain stands tall at 5,506 feet (about 1,678 meters). From its slopes, small streams begin. These streams then flow into the Elk River. Right on top of the mountain, you'll find the small Town of Beech Mountain.
