The group released their only album, Daydreamin', on July 11, 2000. It came out on the RCA Records label. Their song "Baby" featured the rapper Solé. Before Dark also appeared on singer Tyrese's first album. Later in 2000, their song "Monica" became a hit. It reached number 77 on the Billboard Top 100 chart. It also hit number 7 on the Billboard R&B sales chart. The group stopped making music together in 2001.
