The village of Bell Center was named after an early settler. His name was Dennis Bell.

According to the 2010 census, 117 people lived in Bell Center. These people made up 45 households and 33 families. The village had about 21 people per square mile.
There were 64 homes in the village. On average, there were about 12 homes per square mile. Most of the people living in the village (98.3%) were White. A small number (0.9%) were African American, and 0.9% were from two or more racial backgrounds.

Famous People from Bell Center
- Thomas Curley was a notable person from Bell Center. He was a general in the Union Army during the American Civil War. After the war, he became a farmer in Bell Center. He was also elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly for two terms.
