Bellview is a small, quiet place in Curry County, New Mexico, United States. It's known as an unincorporated community, which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town does.

Bellview: A Quiet Spot in New Mexico

Bellview is located on the High Plains of the Llano Estacado. This area is a large, flat plateau. Bellview sits quite high up, about 4,455 feet (which is about 1,358 meters) above sea level.

Where is Bellview?

You can find Bellview about 12 miles (19 km) east of Grady. It's also 6 miles (10 km) east of Broadview. If you're coming from Clovis, it's about 29.5 miles (47.5 km) north. New Mexico State Road 241 is the main road that goes through the community, running from east to west.

What Happened to Bellview?

Bellview used to be a more active place. It even had its own post office for many years. However, that post office closed down on April 22, 1995. Today, Bellview is mostly empty. Many buildings are abandoned, and it's slowly becoming what people call a ghost town. A ghost town is a place where most or all of the people have left.
