This brook gets its water from the hillsides of two mountains:
- The northwestern slopes of North Dome
- The northeastern slopes of Mount Sherrill
After collecting water from these mountains, Bennett Brook flows until it joins another stream called West Kill. This meeting point is just east of a small community known as West Kill, New York.
