Beth Grant (born September 18, 1949) is an American actress known for playing unique and memorable characters in movies and on television. You might recognize her as Beverly Janoszewski from the comedy show The Mindy Project, a role she played from 2012 to 2017.
She is famous for her many roles in popular films. These include playing the strict Miss Kettlewell in Child's Play 2 (1990), a concerned mother in No Country for Old Men (2007), and a pageant official in Little Miss Sunshine (2006). She also appeared as Peppy's maid in the Oscar-winning film The Artist (2011).
On television, Grant has had many interesting parts. She was Gracie Leigh in the drama Jericho and played "The Woman with Hair but No Beard" in Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Beth Grant was born in Gadsden, Alabama, and grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina. Her mother was an activist for equal rights and inspired Grant to follow her dream of becoming an actress.
After graduating from New Hanover High School in 1967, she went to college. In 1973, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting and Directing from East Carolina University. Soon after, she moved to New York City to start her acting career.
