Beverly Hills is a village located in Oakland County, Michigan. It is a northern suburb of the city of Detroit. The village is about 20 miles (32 km) northwest of downtown Detroit. In 2020, about 10,599 people lived there. This makes Beverly Hills the largest village in Michigan by population.

History of Beverly Hills
The area that is now Beverly Hills became an official village in 1958. It was first called Westwood. It was incorporated in the same year as the nearby city of Southfield.
By becoming a village, the area could keep its own local government. This stopped it from being added to the larger city of Southfield. In 1959, the village decided to change its name to Beverly Hills.
Geography and Location
According to the United States Census Bureau, Beverly Hills covers a total area of about 4.02 square miles (10.41 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, about 4.00 square miles (10.36 square kilometers).
A small part, about 0.02 square miles (0.05 square kilometers), is water. The main branch of the Rouge River flows through the village.
