Bialetti is a famous Italian company. It makes coffee machines, cooking pots, and other kitchen tools. The company was started by Alfonso Bialetti. Its most famous product is the Moka pot, a special stovetop coffeemaker.

The Story of Bialetti
How It All Started
Alfonso Bialetti learned a lot about working with metal. He spent ten years in France, learning about the aluminium industry. In 1919, he opened his own workshop in Crusinallo, Italy. This workshop was the beginning of the Bialetti company. He designed and made products from aluminum there.
The Moka Pot Invention
In 1933, Alfonso Bialetti officially started the Bialetti brand. This was also the year he invented the Moka pot. This special coffeemaker quickly became very popular. Later, his son, Renato Bialetti, took over the company.
Growing and Changing
After some tough times in the 1970s and 1980s, Bialetti joined with another company called Rondine Italia in 1993. They formed a new company called Bialetti Industrie S.p.A. This new company is based in Brescia, Italy.
Bialetti Today
Bialetti is still a very important company in Italy. A study in 2010 showed that 90% of Italian families owned a Bialetti Moka pot. This shows how much Italians love their coffee and their Moka pots!
As of April 2025, a company called Nuo Capital bought most of Bialetti's shares. This means they now own a big part of the company.
