Biar is a cool town and a 'municipality' (which is like a local government area) in Spain. It's located in the 'comarca' (a region) called Alt Vinalopó, in the province of Alicante. Biar sits right at the bottom of the Serra de Mariola mountains, about 39 kilometers away from the big city of Alicante.
Biar is known for its local industries, especially making things like toys (think dolls!) and beautiful pottery.

One of the most exciting times in Biar is the Moros i Cristians (Moors and Christians) festival! This amazing celebration happens every year from May 10 to 13. It's a big party with parades, music, and people dressed up in historical costumes, acting out battles from long ago.
