"It's a Shame": A Big Hit

The group at that time included Billy Henderson and other original members like Pervis Jackson, Henry Fambrough, and Bobby Smith. G. C. Cameron was the lead singer.

"It's a Shame" is about someone who is upset because their partner is not being loyal. The song was a huge success for The Spinners. It reached number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also hit number three on the R&B singles chart. This made it their biggest song at that time. It was also the first song Stevie Wonder produced all by himself for another music group.
