About Bipolar Sunshine's Music Journey
Starting with Kid British
Adio Marchant grew up in Manchester. In 2007, he helped start a six-person band called Kid British. He was one of the main singers. The band had a good run, releasing five mini-albums (called EPs) between 2009 and 2012. Kid British played their last show in Manchester in December 2012.
Beginning a Solo Career
After Kid British, Adio started his solo music journey as Bipolar Sunshine. His first mini-album, Aesthetics, came out in June 2013. The song "Rivers" from this EP was even chosen as iTunes' "free single of the week." Later that year, in November 2013, he released another EP called Drowning Butterflies. This one featured the song "Love More Worry Less."
Tours and Popular Songs
In 2014, Bipolar Sunshine went on a tour in the UK called "A Dream for Dreamer's Tour." His show in London sold out five weeks early! He released two more songs that year: "Where Did the Love Go" and "Deckchairs on the Moon." "Where Did the Love Go" was played on BBC Radio 1. "Deckchairs on the Moon" also did well on the UK music charts. He performed at big music events like Blissfields festival and headlined a show at Shepherd's Bush Empire.
In 2015, his song "Daydreamer" was used in a trailer for BBC One. This song became one of his most popular hits. It reached number 67 on the UK Downloads Chart. He also performed at a concert for the Courteeners in Manchester and at Kendal Calling festival. In 2016, he sang on DJ Snake's very popular song "Middle," which became a top 10 hit in the UK.
