Birch Creek is a small community in Alaska, United States. Its name in the Gwich’in language is Łiteet'aii. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's a special area set up by the government for counting people, but it's not an officially organized town or city. Birch Creek is located in the Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area.
Geography of Birch Creek
Birch Creek is found along a waterway also called Birch Creek. It is about 26 miles (42 km) southwest of a larger town called Fort Yukon. The exact location of Birch Creek is 66°15′24″N 145°48′55″W / 66.25667°N 145.81528°W.
The total area of this community is about 6.4 square miles (17 km2). Most of this area, about 6.1 square miles (16 km2), is land. The rest, about 0.3 square miles (0.78 km2), is water. This means a small part of Birch Creek's area is covered by water.

Birch Creek was first counted in the U.S. Census in 1940. At that time, it was a small village. It was not counted again until 1980, when it became a census-designated place (CDP).
In the year 2000, there were 28 people living in Birch Creek. These people lived in 11 different homes, and 7 of these were families. All the people living in Birch Creek at that time were Native American.
