Bircham is a very small community in southern Alberta, Canada. It is known as a hamlet, which is a type of settlement even smaller than a village.
You can find Bircham about 78 kilometers (about 48 miles) northeast of Calgary. It is also about 10 kilometers (about 6 miles) southeast of the town of Acme. Bircham is located along a Canadian National Railway line. It is believed that the hamlet got its name from a place called Bircham in England.
