Black Lake is a beautiful freshwater lake located in the Algoma District of Ontario, Canada. It's found in a part of Ontario that is not organized into regular townships, often called the "Unorganized North Part."
This lake is an important part of the larger Great Lakes Basin. This means its waters eventually connect to the huge Great Lakes system. Black Lake is also special because it lies completely inside the amazing Lake Superior Provincial Park. This park is known for its stunning natural beauty and outdoor adventures.
Black Lake is the starting point for the Coldwater River. This river flows out of the eastern side of the lake. From there, the Coldwater River makes its way to Lake Superior, one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world.
