Blodgett is a small, unincorporated community in Benton County, Oregon, United States. It is a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own city government. You can find Blodgett where two main roads, Oregon Route 180 and U.S. Route 20, meet. This spot is about 15 miles west of Corvallis, nestled in the Central Oregon Coast Range. It's also close to where the Tumtum and Marys rivers join together. In 2010, about 58 people lived here.

History of Blodgett

Blodgett got its name from an early settler named William Blodgett. He was one of the first people to live in this area. The local post office first opened in April 1888. It was originally called "Emrick" after another family who lived nearby. However, the name was changed to Blodgett soon after. The area's ZIP code is 97326.
