Bloons is a fun video game series. It is created by a company called Ninja Kiwi.
How the Bloons Game Began
The very first Bloons game was made by two brothers from New Zealand, Stephen and Chris Harris. Before Bloons, they had made a racing game called Cash Sprint. That game was quite popular.
After Cash Sprint did well, the brothers tried making their own website for flash games. But that website didn't become very popular. So, they decided to focus on making their own games instead. They created a new website called Ninja Kiwi. When it first opened, it had five games. This new website was a big success! Because of this success, the brothers started working on Bloons.
The Idea Behind Bloons
The main idea for Bloons came from Stephen's wife. Stephen asked her what kind of game would be fun to play. She suggested games like those at a carnival, where you throw darts at balloons.
The first version of Bloons was made very quickly. It was released in April 2000. The game became popular right away. Soon, almost 100,000 people were playing it every day. By 2011, Bloons had been played more than 3 billion times! That's a lot of popped balloons!
