Lester "Bo" McCalebb (Macedonian: Лестер „Бо“ МекКејлеб; born May 4, 1985) is an American-Macedonian former professional basketball player. He played as a point guard, which is like the team's leader on the court. Bo played for the Macedonian national team internationally. He was born in New Orleans and went to the University of New Orleans. He was chosen twice for the All-EuroLeague team and was part of the best players at EuroBasket 2011.

Early Life and College Basketball
High School Years
Bo McCalebb went to O. Perry Walker High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is where he played basketball during his high school years.
College Career
Bo played college basketball for the University of New Orleans. In 2007, he was named the best player in the Sun Belt Conference. During his five years with the Privateers, he played 128 games. He averaged about 21 points, almost 5 rebounds, and 3 assists per game.
Professional Basketball Journey
Starting in Turkey: Mersin BB
Bo McCalebb began his professional career in Turkey. He played for the team Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyesi. He did very well in Mersin. In the 2008–09 season, he averaged 17.4 points and 4.7 assists per game. He was also the top player in steals in the Turkish Super League, with 2.7 steals per game.
Success in Serbia: Partizan
In October 2009, Bo signed a one-year deal with the Serbian club Partizan Belgrade. He had an amazing season with Partizan. He helped them win three titles: the regional ABA League, the Basketball League of Serbia, and the Cup. He also helped the team reach the EuroLeague Final Four. Because of his great play, he was chosen for the All-EuroLeague Second Team.
Dominating in Italy: Montepaschi Siena
In July 2010, Bo McCalebb signed a three-year contract with the Italian team Montepaschi Siena. He continued his success in Italy. He helped his team reach the EuroLeague Final Four again. They also won the Italian League, the Cup, and the Supercup.
In 2012, he was named the Italian League MVP. In April 2012, Bo won the EuroLeague's Alphonso Ford Trophy. This award is given to the EuroLeague's top scorer each season. He averaged 16.9 points, 2.6 assists, and 2.2 rebounds per game. He shot very well, making 61.3% of his shots and 52.6% of his three-pointers. He was also selected for the All-EuroLeague Second Team for the second time.
Moving to Turkey: Fenerbahçe Ülker
In the summer of 2012, Bo McCalebb signed a three-year contract. He joined the Turkish club Fenerbahçe Ülker. In June 2014, he left Fenerbahçe and became a free agent.
Short Stint in Germany: Bayern Munich
On November 19, 2014, Bo signed a one-month deal. He joined the German club Bayern Munich. In 5 EuroLeague games, he averaged 9.8 points. He also had a career-high 3.6 assists per game. He extended his contract until January 2015. However, he got an injury to his thumb and did not play for Bayern again.
Later Career: Pelicans, Limoges, Gran Canaria, Zaragoza
In October 2015, Bo McCalebb signed with the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans. But he was released a few days later after playing in four preseason games. In January 2016, he signed with the French club Limoges for the rest of the season.
On August 24, 2016, Bo signed with Herbalife Gran Canaria in Spain. He then signed with Tecnyconta Zaragoza in Spain in December 2017. He played there for the rest of the 2017–18 season.
Playing for His Country: Macedonia National Team
In 2010, Bo McCalebb agreed to play for the Macedonian national basketball team. He received a Macedonian passport. He was a top scorer in the qualifiers for EuroBasket 2011. He played very well against Great Britain and their NBA star Luol Deng.
EuroBasket 2011 Performance
Bo had an amazing tournament at EuroBasket 2011. In the first game, he scored 17 points against Montenegro. He scored 19 points against Croatia. He led Macedonia to a 72–58 win over Greece, scoring 27 points. He also scored 18 points against Finland in a close 72–70 win.
On September 5, he scored 22 points against Bosnia and Herzegovina. This win helped Macedonia finish first in their group. He then led the team with 27 points against Georgia. This win sent Macedonia to the quarter-finals.
In the quarter-finals, Macedonia defeated Lithuania. Bo scored 23 points in that game. This win meant Macedonia reached the semi-finals! In the semi-finals, they lost to Spain, with Bo scoring 25 points. In the game for the bronze medal, Bo scored 22 points. But Macedonia lost a close game to Russia.
Bo McCalebb was chosen for the All-Tournament Team. He averaged 21.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. He was the top scorer in the tournament based on total points.
