Bo Naylor went to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. He also played baseball for the Canadian junior national team.

Bo Naylor's Professional Baseball Journey

Starting with the Cleveland Indians

The Cleveland Indians picked Bo Naylor in the first round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft. He was the 29th player chosen overall. Instead of going to college, Bo decided to sign with Cleveland. He received a signing bonus of over $2.5 million.

He started playing for the Arizona League Indians. In 33 games, he had a batting average of .274. He also hit two home runs and had 17 runs batted in (RBI). In 2019, Bo played 107 games for the Lake County Captains. He hit 11 home runs and had 65 RBI.

Playing During the Pandemic

Bo Naylor did not play in any games in 2020. This was because the minor league baseball season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, he played for the Akron RubberDucks. He hit ten home runs and had 44 RBI in 87 games. That June, Bo was chosen to play in the All-Star Futures Game. This game features some of the best young players in baseball.

Moving Up to the Major Leagues

In 2022, Bo Naylor continued to play well for the Akron RubberDucks. He had a .271 batting average and hit six home runs. In June, he was moved up to the Columbus Clippers, which is a higher level of minor league baseball.

The Cleveland Guardians (formerly the Indians) added Bo Naylor to their main team on October 1, 2022. He made his first MLB appearance that same day. He played as a defensive replacement against the Kansas City Royals. The very next day, he made his first start in a major league game.
