Glenn "Bo" Overton (born July 9, 1960) is an American basketball coach. He is currently the head women's basketball coach at Oklahoma Baptist University. Before this, he coached in the Women's Chinese Basketball Association.

Meet Bo Overton: A Basketball Coach
Bo Overton is a well-known basketball coach from the United States. He has coached many teams, from college to professional leagues. He even coached an Olympic team!
Early Life and Playing Days
Bo Overton was born in Ada, Oklahoma. In 1979, he was named Oklahoma High School Basketball Player of the Year. This was during his senior year at Ada High School.
He then played college basketball at the University of Oklahoma. He was a starting point guard from 1980 to 1983. When he finished his college career, he held several school records. These included records for free throw percentage, assists, and games played.
Bo Overton's Professional Playing Career
After college, the Phoenix Suns picked Bo Overton in the 1983 NBA draft. He played for the Toronto Tornadoes. This team was part of the Continental Basketball Association. He played with them during the 1984–85 season. After his playing days, he became an assistant coach for the same team. By then, they had moved to Pensacola, Florida.
Becoming a Basketball Coach
Bo Overton's coaching journey began in college basketball. He was the head coach and athletic director at Murray State College. This was from 1989 to 1991. He also worked as an assistant coach for several men's college teams. These included Oral Roberts, Texas State, and Louisiana Tech.
Coaching Women's College Basketball
Later, Overton returned to his old college, the University of Oklahoma. He became an assistant coach for the Oklahoma Sooners women's basketball team. He worked under coach Sherri Coale. The Sooners made it to the Final Four in 2002. After his time at Oklahoma, he became the head coach at UMKC.
Coaching in the WNBA and Overseas
In 2006, Bo Overton became the head coach for the Chicago Sky in the WNBA. He coached them for one season, finishing with 14 wins and 20 losses. He later resigned in 2008.
He also worked as a consultant for the WNBA's Tulsa Shock. From 2009 to 2010, he was an assistant coach for the Bahamas women's national basketball team. Overton then coached for Liaoning Hengye in China. This was part of the Women's Chinese Basketball Association.
In 2012, he coached the China women's national basketball team during the 2012 Summer Olympics. He also coached other teams in China and Russia. These included the Guangdong Dragons and Dynamo Kursk.
Winning a National Championship
In 2015, Overton became the head women's basketball coach at Oklahoma City University. He led his team to a huge victory. They won the NAIA national championship in the 2016–17 season! He was also named coach of the year for that amazing season.
On March 16, 2020, Bo Overton was named the head coach at Oklahoma Baptist University. He continues to coach there today.
