The dog-toothed cat snake, also known as Boiga cynodon, is a special type of snake. It is active mostly at night, which means it is nocturnal. This snake is found only in Asia. It belongs to a group of snakes called colubrids. These snakes have fangs at the back of their mouth.

What Does the Dog-Toothed Cat Snake Look Like?
This is a large snake that can grow quite long. It can reach over 2 meters (about 6.5 feet) in total length. A unique feature is its front teeth. Both the upper and lower jaw have teeth that are much bigger than the others.
Its body is thin and flattened from side to side. The top side of the snake is usually a tannish color. It has reddish-brown or dark brown bands going across its body. You might also see a dark stripe behind each eye on its head. The underside of the snake is whitish. It often has many dark brown patterns that look like marble.
The scales on its back are smooth. They are arranged in 23 or 33 rows around the middle of its body. The scales right along its spine are noticeably larger.
