Borneo facts for kids
Borneo is the third largest island in the world. It is located in the middle of Southeast Asia, surrounded by oceans. This huge island is shared by three different countries. Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei each have a part of Borneo. Indonesia's part is called "Kalimantan". Malaysia's part is known as East Malaysia. The small country of Brunei is also on the island. Borneo is famous for its ancient rainforests. Sadly, these forests are in danger because trees are often cut down illegally.
