Bolotana (also called Golòthene or Bolòtana in the local Sardinian language) is a small town, known as a comune (municipality), located on the beautiful island of Sardinia in Italy. It is part of the Province of Nuoro. This town is about 120 kilometers (75 miles) north of Cagliari, which is a big city in Sardinia. It is also about 30 kilometers (19 miles) west of Nuoro.
Bolotana is surrounded by several other towns. These include Bonorva, Bortigali, Illorai, Lei, Macomer, Noragugume, Orani, Ottana, and Silanus.
