Nah'Shon Lee "Bones" Hyland (born September 14, 2000) is an American professional basketball player. He plays for the Los Angeles Clippers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Before joining the NBA, he played college basketball for the VCU Rams. He was chosen as the 26th player in the 2021 NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets.

Bones Hyland's Early Life and Start in Basketball
Bones Hyland was born in Delaware. He started playing basketball after watching his older brother and a friend play at a park. People nicknamed him "Bizzy Bones" or "Bones" because he had a slender build.
Bones went to St. Georges Technical High School in Middletown, Delaware. During his junior year, a very sad event happened. His 11-month-old cousin and grandmother passed away in a house fire. Bones bravely escaped by jumping from his second-floor bedroom. He suffered a knee injury that kept him from playing for six months.
As a senior, he was an amazing player. He scored about 26.6 points, grabbed 6.6 rebounds, and made 4.6 assists per game. He also had 3.4 steals per game. He led his team to the semifinals of the state tournament. Bones was named Delaware Player of the Year. He also earned first team All-State honors. Many colleges wanted him to play for them. He decided to play college basketball for VCU.

Freshman Year Success (2019-2020)
On January 18, 2020, Bones had a great game as a freshman. He scored 21 points and made five three-pointers. This helped VCU win 91–63 against St. Bonaventure. As a freshman, he averaged nine points per game. He also grabbed 2.2 rebounds and made 1.8 assists per game. He was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team. He shot very well from three-point range, making 43.4 percent of his shots. He even set a new record for freshmen at VCU with 63 three-pointers.
Sophomore Year Highlights (2020-2021)
Bones started his sophomore season strong on November 25. He scored 23 points and made five three-pointers. VCU won 85–69 against Utah State. On December 9, he scored 30 points. He made 7 out of 12 three-point shots in a 95–59 win. This game was against North Carolina A&T. Six days later, Bones had his best game yet. He scored 31 points in a 93–68 victory over Western Carolina.
On March 5, 2021, he had another fantastic game. He scored 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. This helped VCU win 73–68 against Dayton in the Atlantic 10 tournament quarterfinals. As a sophomore, Bones averaged 19.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.9 steals per game. He was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Year. On April 17, 2021, he decided to enter the 2021 NBA draft. This meant he would not play any more college basketball.
Bones Hyland's NBA Career
Playing for the Denver Nuggets (2021–2023)
On July 29, 2021, the Denver Nuggets picked Bones Hyland. He was the 26th player chosen in the 2021 NBA draft. He was the first player from VCU to be drafted in 11 years.
On January 15, 2022, Bones had a great game. He scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. This helped the Nuggets win 133–96 against the Los Angeles Lakers. On April 24, during the first round of the playoffs, Bones helped the Nuggets win Game 4. He scored 15 points and made 7 assists. This win was against the Golden State Warriors.
Even though Bones played many games for the Nuggets that season, he was traded to the Clippers before the Nuggets won the NBA championship. Because of this trade, he didn't receive a championship ring with his former team.
Joining the Los Angeles Clippers (2023–Present)
On February 9, 2023, Bones Hyland was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. This trade involved four teams: the Clippers, the Nuggets, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Orlando Magic.
On April 10, 2024, Bones set a new career high. He scored 37 points in a game against the Phoenix Suns. The Clippers lost that game 124–108.
