Bonnet Hill is a lovely place in Tasmania, Australia. It's a suburb located in the Kingborough area, which is part of the greater Hobart region. This area is about 2 kilometers (about 1.2 miles) east of the town of Kingston. In 2016, about 505 people lived in Bonnet Hill.
The suburb sits on a big hill that shares its name. From Bonnet Hill, you can look down over the town of Kingston. A famous landmark, the Taroona Shot Tower, is also found here. The hill is a popular spot for bike riding. Many small paths on the sides of the hill lead to the nearby Kingston Beach.
The Alum Cliffs are along Bonnet Hill's coast. These cliffs can reach heights of up to 30 meters (about 98 feet) above the sea. From here, you can enjoy amazing views of the Derwent Estuary, Storm Bay, South Arm, and Bruny Island.
