The Booth Western Art Museum is a cool place in Cartersville, Georgia. It's a museum all about the art and history of the Western United States. It's one of only two museums like it in the whole Southeastern United States. The other one is the James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art in Florida.

The Booth Museum first opened its doors in August 2003. It had a huge space, about 80,000 square feet. Inside, you could see modern art, amazing drawings, and even movie posters. There was also art about the American Civil War and art showing Indigenous culture. You could even see portraits and letters from presidents! The museum also had real stagecoaches and a fun, hands-on area for kids. This area was designed to look like a working ranch.

In October 2009, the museum got even bigger! They added another 40,000 square feet. This doubled the space for showing off art. Now, the Booth Museum is about 120,000 square feet. This makes it the second largest art museum in Georgia. It also has the biggest permanent space for Western art in the entire country.

You can see art from early Western artists like George Catlin and Frederic Remington. But most of the art is by artists who are still alive today. These artists create traditional Western pictures, like Howard Terpning. There are also more modern artists like Ed Mell and Thom Ross. The museum also has a beautiful outdoor sculpture garden.
