Boris René Lumbana Kapasa, born on June 19, 1991, is a talented person from Sweden. He was born in Kinshasa, which is now part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Boris is special because he has two exciting careers! He is a professional footballer (soccer player) and also an alternative pop musician. When he makes music, he uses the stage name Boris René. He has played for several Swedish football teams and continues to make music.
Boris's Football Journey
Boris Lumbana is a defender in football. This means his job is to stop the other team from scoring goals. He started playing football when he was young. His youth career was with a team called BK Forward in Sweden.
After playing for youth teams, Boris became a professional player. From 2008 to 2010, he played for Örebro SK Ungdom. Then, from 2010 to 2014, he played for Örebro SK. This team plays in Sweden's top football league, called Allsvenskan.
In 2014, Boris moved to another team, Degerfors IF. They play in the Superettan league, which is the second-highest league in Sweden. Later, he joined GAIS, another Swedish football team.
Boris's Music Career
Besides being a footballer, Boris is also a musician. He sings alternative pop music and is known as Boris René. He loved music from a young age and used to make songs with his brothers.
His first song, "Alive," came out in 2013. But he became even more famous when he joined Melodifestivalen. This is a big music competition in Sweden. The winner gets to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Boris competed in Melodifestivalen 2016 with his song "Put Your Love on Me". He did very well and made it to the final! He finished in tenth place.
He returned to Melodifestivalen 2017 with a new song called "Her Kiss". He performed well again. He made it through different rounds and reached the final for a second time. In the 2017 final, he finished in eighth place.

Boris has an older brother named Christian Lumbana Kapasa. Christian also played football in Sweden for teams like Örebro SK Ungdom. He stopped playing professionally in 2010.
