Boris Lumbana plays as a defender in football. He started his youth career at a Swedish team called BK Forward. After that, he played for several professional clubs in Sweden.
He played for Örebro SK Ungdom from 2008 to 2010. Then, he joined Örebro SK and played there from 2010 to 2014. This team plays in the top Swedish league, Allsvenskan. Later, in 2014, he moved to Degerfors IF. This club plays in the Superettan league, which is the second highest division in Sweden. From 2019 to 2021, Boris played for GAIS.

Boris is also a musician who creates alternative pop music. He performs under the name Boris René. He grew up making music with his brothers.
His first song, "Alive," came out in 2013. He became more widely known when he took part in Melodifestivalen 2016. This is a big music competition in Sweden. His song was called "Put Your Love on Me." He made it to the final round and finished in tenth place.
Boris competed in Melodifestivalen 2017 with his song "Her Kiss." He did very well in the first round. He then won a special "Second Chance" round. This allowed him to go to the final again. In the final, he placed eighth overall.
