Borys Szyc (born Borys Michalak on September 4, 1978) is a famous Polish actor and musician. He has starred in many films and plays. In 2010, he won a special award called the Polish Academy Award for Best Actor. This award is like the "Oscars" in Poland.

Borys Szyc was born in Łódź, Poland. He went to high school there. In 2001, he finished his studies at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz State Theatre Academy in Warsaw. After that, he started his successful career in movies and theater. Since 2001, he has been performing at the Teatr Współczesny in Warsaw. In 2007, he won the Wiktor award. This award is given by Polish Television (TVP) to the best TV actor.

Borys Szyc became very popular by acting in many well-known films. Some of these include Vinci (2004), Testosteron (2007), and Cold War (2018). He also appeared in popular TV shows. These include For Better or Worse and Niania.

Besides acting, Borys Szyc is also a musician. In 2008, he released a song called "Choć wieje, pada, grzmi" with singer Justyna Steczkowska. Later that year, he released his first music album, Feelin' Good. This album featured other famous Polish singers. In 2011, he recorded another song called "Śpiewka." This song was used in the movie Battle of Warsaw 1920.

His Family Life

Borys Szyc has a daughter named Sonia from a past relationship. In 2019, he married Justyna Szyc-Nagłowska. They have a son named Henryk, who was born in 2020.
