Boynton is a small town located in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, in the United States. In 2020, about 161 people lived there. This number was lower than in 2010, when 248 people called Boynton home.

History of Boynton
Boynton started as a town in 1903. This happened when the St. Louis – San Francisco Railway built tracks through the area. At that time, this land was part of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
The town's post office was named after E. L. Boynton. He was a chief engineer for a railroad company. Boynton grew because it had an oil refinery and a factory that made bricks. In the 1920s, the town's population reached its highest point with about 1,400 people.
Over the years, the number of people living in Boynton went down. By 2000, only 274 people lived there. The local school district, Boynton-Moton Public Schools, closed its high school in 2010. The state later decided to close the lower school too in 2011.
