Brandon Kyle Bowman, born on October 15, 1984, is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for Maccabi Haifa in the Israeli Liga Artzit. Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball at Georgetown University. There, he mostly played as a small forward. He was even considered one of the best college players in 2006 for the John R. Wooden Award.

High School Basketball Journey
Brandon went to Westchester High School in Westchester, California. In his final year, he was a star player, averaging 14 points and 8 rebounds per game. He helped his team achieve an amazing 32 wins and only 2 losses. They won the California State Division I-A Championship. His team was even ranked number one in the USA by USA Today. In 2002, Brandon was part of the USA Team. They played in the International Albert Schweitzer Youth Basketball Tournament in Germany.
College Career Highlights
During his junior year at Georgetown University, Brandon was chosen for the third-team All-Big East Conference. He was the top scorer for his team, averaging 15.1 points per game. He was also the second-best rebounder, with 6.1 rebounds per game. After thinking about joining the NBA draft, he decided to stay at Georgetown. He finished his college career averaging 11 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. One of his most memorable games was when he scored 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. This helped his team upset the undefeated number one ranked Duke Blue Devils.
Professional Basketball Career
After college, Brandon Bowman started his professional basketball career. He has played for many teams around the world.
Early Professional Years
In 2006, Brandon joined the Portland Trail Blazers for the NBA Summer League. He later signed with the New Jersey Nets but was waived. He was then picked by the Bakersfield Jam in the NBA D-League draft. In 2007, he played for the Los Angeles Clippers in the Summer League. He returned to the Bakersfield Jam before moving to Italy to play for Basket Draghi Novara.
Playing in Europe
In 2008, Brandon joined the New Orleans Hornets for the NBA Summer League. He then signed with Telekom Baskets Bonn in Germany for the 2008–09 season. In 2009, he briefly signed with the Philadelphia 76ers. Later that year, he joined Tofaş Bursa in Turkey.
Across Continents
In 2010, Brandon played for the Charlotte Bobcats in the NBA Summer League. He then moved to Bulgaria to play for PBC Lukoil Academic. After that, he had short stays with Le Mans Sarthe Basket in France and FMP Železnik in Serbia.
Playing in Israel and Asia
In 2011, Brandon signed with Maccabi Rishon LeZion in Israel. In 2012, he was drafted by Wonju Dongbu Promy in the Korean Basketball League. He was later traded to the Seoul Samsung Thunders. In 2013, he played for Hapoel Gilboa Galil in Israel.
Return to Europe and New Zealand
In 2013, Brandon signed with SC Rasta Vechta in Germany. In 2014, he joined the Wellington Saints in New Zealand. He helped them win the NZNBL championship that year. He scored 22 points and had 8 rebounds in one of his first games.
More International Teams
In 2014, he signed with Medi Bayreuth in Germany. In 2015, he played for Atenienses de Manatí in Puerto Rico. In 2015–16, he played for AEK Larnaca in Cyprus, where he helped them become Cypriot League champions.
Recent Career
In 2016, Brandon played for Spirou Charleroi in Belgium. He then moved back to Israel to play for Maccabi Kiryat Gat in 2017. Later that year, he signed a two-year deal with Maccabi Haifa. He had a career-high game with 30 points for Maccabi Haifa. He was even named the Israeli League Round 3 MVP. In 2019, he played for Maccabi Rehovot and the Hawke's Bay Hawks in New Zealand. He was named to the NZNBL All-Star Five in 2019. In 2019–2020, he played for Kagawa Five Arrows in Japan. In 2020, he played for Panionios in Greece and Gießen 46ers in Germany. Since 2023, Brandon has been playing for Maccabi Haifa again.

Brandon is the son of Tom and Sharon Bowman. He has three brothers named Tom, Stephan, and Zach. He also has one sister named Nicole. Brandon is related to former NBA players Antoine Walker and Samaki Walker, who are his cousins.
