The Bras du Nord-Est is a smaller river that feeds into the Bras de Riche. The Bras de Riche then flows into the Bras Saint-Nicolas. Finally, the Bras Saint-Nicolas joins the rivière du Sud (Montmagny), which eventually reaches the mighty St. Lawrence River.

The Journey of the Bras du Nord-Est River
The Bras du Nord-Est river is about 24.7 kilometres (15.3 mi) (about 15 miles) long. It starts high up in the mountains and makes its way down to join other rivers.
Where the River Begins
The Bras du Nord-Est starts at a lake called "lac des Plaines." This lake is about 2.3 kilometres (1.4 mi) (1.4 miles) long and sits at an altitude of 390 metres (1,280 ft) (1,280 feet) above sea level. It's located in a mountainous area, partly in Saint-Cyrille-de-Lessard and partly near Tourville. This starting lake is quite far from the St. Lawrence River, about 16.1 kilometres (10.0 mi) (10 miles) to the southeast.
The River's Path
From lac des Plaines, the Bras du Nord-Est flows mostly west.
- For about 16.6 kilometres (10.3 mi) (10.3 miles), it flows west through Saint-Cyrille-de-Lessard. It crosses a road about 2.2 kilometres (1.4 mi) (1.4 miles) northeast of the village.
- Then, it continues west for another 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) (1.6 miles). During this part, it crosses Route 285, which is about 0.8 kilometres (0.50 mi) (0.5 miles) northwest of the village.
- Finally, the river flows northwest for 3.4 kilometres (2.1 mi) (2.1 miles) until it meets the Bras de Riche.
Where the River Ends
The Bras du Nord-Est joins the Bras de Riche river. This meeting point is located about 2.3 kilometres (1.4 mi) (1.4 miles) northwest of the center of the village of Saint-Cyrille-de-Lessard.
