Brent Douglas Webb (born 8 November 1980) is a former professional rugby league player from New Zealand. He played as a fullback. Brent played for the New Zealand Warriors in the NRL. Later, he moved to play for the Leeds Rhinos and the Catalans Dragons in the Super League.

Early Life and Rugby Beginnings
Brent Webb was born in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. His family has Torres Strait Islander heritage. He went to Kirwan State High School in Townsville. Brent started playing junior rugby for the Cairns Kangaroos. In 2001, he was the top try-scorer in the Queensland Cup. This success led to him being signed by the New Zealand Warriors.
Professional Rugby League Career
Playing for the New Zealand Warriors
Brent Webb made his first appearance in the NRL on April 1, 2002. He was 21 years old at the time. He quickly became a fan favorite. Supporters voted him Player of the Year in both 2003 and 2004. After living in New Zealand for three years, he could play for the national team. Brent was part of the New Zealand team that won the 2005 Rugby League Tri-Nations tournament. The year 2006 was his last with the Warriors. He was the team's top try-scorer that season with 11 tries.
Playing for the Leeds Rhinos
In 2007, Brent joined the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League. He had just been one of the best players in the 2006 Rugby League Tri Nations. Fans at Leeds loved his exciting style of play. They even had a special chant for him: 'Brent Webb is Superman!'
Brent faced a four-match ban in 2007. This was after two high tackles in a game against the Harlequins RL. Despite this, he had an amazing game. He scored two tries and helped set up others.
Brent was unable to play for the New Zealand in the 2008 Rugby League World Cup. This was due to an injury. He played in the 2009 Super League Grand Final. His team, Leeds, won against St. Helens at Old Trafford.
In 2010, he played in the 2010 Challenge Cup Final. Leeds lost this match to the Warrington Wolves at Wembley Stadium. Brent signed a new one-year deal with Leeds in 2011. This kept him at the club until the end of 2012.
Later in 2011, he played in the 2011 Challenge Cup Final. Leeds lost this game to the Wigan Warriors at Wembley Stadium. However, he also played in the 2011 Super League Grand Final. Leeds won this championship against St. Helens at Old Trafford.
Playing for the Catalans Dragons and Retirement
On September 4, 2012, it was announced that Brent had signed with the Catalans Dragons. He signed a two-year contract with them. He started well with the team. However, he then had problems with a back injury again. This injury caused him to lose his spot on the team. After trying to recover, Brent Webb had to retire from professional rugby league in 2014.
Personal Life
Brent Webb has two sons with his partner, Jenny. Their first son, Ruben Douglas Webb, was born in April 2006. He was named after Ruben Wiki, a famous New Zealand rugby captain. Their second son, Charlie Douglas Webb, was born on March 22, 2007.
