Brentwood is a friendly neighborhood located in the heart of Austin, Texas. It's known for its tree-lined streets and welcoming community.

This area is bordered by Burnet Road and Allandale to the west. To the east, you'll find North Lamar Boulevard and North Loop. On the south side, it meets 45th Street and Rosedale. To the north, it's next to Justin Lane and Crestview. A pretty street called Arroyo Seco runs through the middle, following a creek with the same name.

Brentwood was once a big cotton farm! In the late 1940s, the city of Austin took over the land. Soon after, Brentwood Elementary School was built and opened in the early 1950s. Brentwood Park also opened that same year. Many homes here are in the bungalow style. These houses usually have one or one-and-a-half stories. They often have a low, slanted roof and a wide, horizontal shape. Many of these bungalows had two or three bedrooms. They were popular with soldiers returning from World War II who wanted to start families.
