Brian Guebert, born on December 19, 1981, is a former professional football player. He used to play as a defensive end in the Canadian Football League (CFL). After his playing days, he became a football executive.

Brian Guebert's Football Journey
Early Life and High School Success
Brian Guebert grew up in Saskatchewan, Canada. He went to high school at Lutheran Collegiate Bible Institute in Outlook. In 1998, his team won the Saskatchewan High School Provincial Football Championship. This was a six-man football championship.
Brian was recognized for his skills early on. In 1999, he was named the Defensive MVP in the Can-Am Bowl. He was also chosen as the Outstanding Defensive Lineman in the 1999 Saskatchewan Senior Bowl.
Playing Junior Football
After high school, Brian played for the Saskatoon Hilltops, a junior football team. He had a lot of success with them. The Hilltops won the Canadian Junior Football League championship three years in a row: 2001, 2002, and 2003.
Brian's strong defensive play stood out. He was named the Prairie Football Conference Outstanding Defensive Lineman in both 2002 and 2003. His team also recognized him as the Hilltops' Outstanding Lineman in 2002. In 2003, he was chosen as their Outstanding Graduate.
University Football Career
After his time with the Hilltops, Brian continued to play football at university. He joined the University of Saskatchewan Huskies. He quickly became a key player for them.
In 2004, he was selected as a Canada West All-Star. In 2006, he was again a Canada West All-Star and also a First Team All-Canadian. Brian played in the Vanier Cup, which is like the championship game for Canadian university football, three times: in 2004, 2005, and 2006.
Besides playing football, Brian also did well in his studies. He was part of the 2004-05 Huskie Athletics All Academic 1st Team. He was also on the 2004-05 CIS Academic All-Canadian Team. This shows he was great at both sports and school.
Professional Football and Beyond
Brian had a chance to play in the Canadian Football League (CFL). In 2003, he joined the training camp for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He even played in one exhibition game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Later, on May 30, 2007, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed Brian as a free agent. He became an important player on their special teams. He played for the Blue Bombers until he was released after the 2008 season.
After his playing career, Brian continued to be involved in football. He became a co-interim coach for the University of Saskatchewan's football team. Later, he took on a leadership role as the Executive Director of the Saskatoon Minor Football league. In 2021, Brian worked to get more players interested in flag football. This was part of an effort to potentially include flag football in the 2028 Summer Olympics.
