Location of Bridgeport in Union County, Ohio

Bridgeport is a small community in Ohio, United States. It's not a city or a village with its own local government. Instead, it's known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a place where people live, but it's part of a larger area called Darby Township in Union County.

Where is Bridgeport Located?

Bridgeport is found in the western part of Darby Township. It sits right where State Route 38 crosses Orchard Road. This spot is about halfway between two other villages: Milford Center and Unionville Center.

Bridgeport is also located about 6 miles (about 10 kilometers) south of Marysville. Marysville is an important city because it's the county seat of Union County. A county seat is like the main town where the county government offices are located.

Rivers and Waterways

An interesting fact about Bridgeport is its connection to local waterways. Here, a small stream called Buck Run flows into the Big Darby Creek. The Big Darby Creek is a larger river that eventually joins the Scioto River. The Scioto River then flows through Circleville before continuing its journey.
