Brimson is a small village located in western Grundy County, Missouri, in the United States. In 2020, about 50 people lived there.

History of Brimson

Brimson was first planned out in 1898. It was named after W. G. Brimson, who was an important person working for the railroad. A post office opened in Brimson in 1901. It helped people send and receive mail until it closed in 1978.

Geography of Brimson

Brimson is found along Missouri Route 146. It is about eight miles northwest of a larger town called Trenton. The border between Grundy County and Harrison County is just over a mile to the west. Another town, Gilman City, is about six miles west.

A stream called Sugar Creek flows near the south side of the village. If you travel about three miles southeast, you can visit Crowder State Park. This park is a great place to enjoy nature.

The village of Brimson covers a total area of about 0.09 square miles (0.23 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
